The Whidbey Island Fly Fishing Club, founded in 1992, is a social organization of fly fishers, dedicated to providing our members with the resources they need to enjoy the sport of fly fishing, and to working to protect our environment and educate the public on the importance of conservation of our resources.

Coming Up

  • The November 13th club meeting will be at the Race Road fire station (1164 Race Road, Coupeville).  Socializing starts at 6:30 PM, and the meeting starts at 7 PM.  Our program will feature a recap of fishing trips our members have made during 2019.  Please come with your own trip reports to share.  Also, we'll take a few minutes to elect club officers for next year.

  • Our final Executive Board meeting for the year will be December 4.  We'll meet at the Day Road fire station from 10AM to noon.  All members are welcome.

  • The Christmas party is scheduled for Saturday December 14 at Blooms Winery in Freeland.  A formal invitation with full details will be mailed to you in early November.  For now know that socializing will run from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM, when the meal starts, prizes are distributed, awards are presented, and 2020 officers are announced.  We'll adjourn around 6:00 PM.  The cost is $30 per person.  Bring a spouse, friend, or potential new member.  All are welcome.

  • The January Executive Board meeting will be immediately before our club meeting on Wednesday January 8, starting at 5 PM. This change from our usual first-Monday-of-the-month meeting date is because that day is New Years.  We'll meet at the Race Road fire station.

  • The January 8th club meeting will be at the Race Road fire station with socializing starting at 6:30 PM and the meeting from 7 - 9 PM.  Check the calendar on the Events page of the website (wiffc.com) for full details.
