The Whidbey Island Fly Fishing Club, founded in 1992, is a social organization of fly fishers, dedicated to providing our members with the resources they need to enjoy the sport of fly fishing, and to working to protect our environment and educate the public on the importance of conservation of our resources.

Coming Up

  • The 2020 Fly Fishing Show comes to the Lynnwood Convention Center February 15 and 16.  For information visit https://flyfishingshow.com/lynnwood-wa/

  • An Introduction to Fly Fishing will be presented at the Coupeville Public Library on March 2nd from 1:30 to 3:00 PM.  Club member, Bob Stephens, will lead you through a 90-minute tour of the basics of fly fishing.  If weather permits, this will be followed by 30 minutes of hands-on practice outside.  No registration is required.  Just show up at the library.

  • The March Executive Board meeting is scheduled for March 4th, from 10 to noon, at the Day Road fire station in Greenbank.  All members are welcome.

  • The March 11th club meeting will be at the Race Road fire station with socializing starting at 6:30 PM and the meeting from 7 - 9 PM.  Check the calendar on the Events page of the website for full details.

  • March 11th is also the date of our first club outing.  You have the opportunity to join us at one or both of two locations: Pass Lake and/or Ala Spit.  The Pass Lake trip will be concentrated in the morning, while the Ala Spit trip will begin near low tide in the early afternoon.  Check the Outings section of the Events page of the website for full details.
