I grew up fly fishing small streams in south-central Washington during summer vacations, but it wasn't until my son and daughter began to show interest in the sport that I delved deeper, first by fishing the Yakima River on weekends throughout the year, then hitting the South Sound beaches for searun cutthroat. It's been one pleasant surprise after another since then.
A stream fisherman at heart, I call Pass Lake my home waters now, getting out there at least a couple times a month. When I can I love visiting Montana and fishing the Blackfoot River, Rock Creek and the Clark Fork.
