Whidbey Island Fly Fishing Club
Fish the Yakima River -- March 15.
Join us for spring fly fishing on the Yakima River, Washington's only blue-ribbon trout stream. With luck we'll have skwala stoneflies or early March browns hatching. Mark McGinnis has four guides and drift boats reserved at Red's Flyshop for the first eight people to commit to going with him. Contact McGinn at email@example.com or 360-632-2746.
Fish North Twin Lake -- May 7- May 12.
Located in Washington on the Colville Indian Reservation, North Twin Lake is a fantastic fishery, with fish usually averaging 18". The Rainbow Beach Resort offers cabins, trailer hookups, and tent spaces as well as a boat launch and boat rentals. See our Twin Lakes Information Sheet and contact trip sponsor, Bob Adams (firstname.lastname@example.org) for information.
Nyerges Nymph One-Fly Contest -- June 3.
Using only a Nyerges Nymph, fish Lone Lake from 10 AM to noon. The person catching the most fish wins bragging rights for the year. Lunch will be provided by the club immediately following. Here's a link to the outing flyer.
Fall Fishing the Yakima River -- TBD (Oct?).
Join us for fall fly fishing on the upper Yakima River. Guides from Troutwater Fly Shop in Cle Elum, WA will put us on the fish. Contact McGinn at email@example.com or 360-632-2746 if you're interested.
Fish the St. Joe River -- October 2-8.
