Fish the Yakima River -- March 23.
Join us for spring fly fishing on the Yakima River, Washington's only blue-ribbon trout stream. With luck we'll have late skwala stoneflies or early March browns or other mayflies hatching. Mark McGinnis has four guides and drift boats reserved at Red's Flyshop for the first eight people to commit to going with him. So far we have six, so don't wait to let him know you're interested. Reach McGinn at firstname.lastname@example.org or 360-632-2746.
Fish North Twin Lake -- May 1 - May 5.
Located in Washington on the Colville Indian Reservation, North Twin Lake is a fantastic fishery, with fish usually averaging 18". The Rainbow Beach Resort offers cabins, trailer hookups, and tent spaces as well as a boat launch and boat rentals. See our Twin Lakes Information Sheet and contact trip sponsor, Clayton Wright at email@example.com or 253-653-8217 for information.
Nyerges Nymph One-Fly Contest -- June 11. Using only a Nyerges Nymph, fish Lone Lake from 10 AM to noon. The person catching the most fish wins bragging rights for the year. Lunch will be provided by the club immediately following.
Fish Missoula Montana -- September 26-30.
Come fish the waters around Missoula Montana. Major rivers are the Clark Fork, the Bitterroot, the Blackfoot, and Rock Creek. Fall is a wonderful time to enjoy the outdoors in this area. Hire a guide and fish from a boat, wade fish, or do some of both. Mark Wilbert is the sponsor for this trip, and he can provide you with details of fishing, lodging, etc. As a group comes together for this trip we can talk about how much we want to do together as a group and how much we want to follow individual agendas. Everyone is always welcome to gather at Mark's house on Rattlesnake Creek at day's end for drinks and debriefs of the days experiences.
For those interested in guided fishing, that should be arranged ASAP. This isn't strictly peak season, but guide availability can sometimes be limited. Contact Mark Wilbert for information and/or advice on any aspect of this trip at (206) 618-6492 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
