An avid Fly Fishing young friend in Seattle is wanting to get into Fly Tying. So thought I would ask the club members their ADVICE ON WHERE TO GET THE APPROPRIATE GEAR.
Probably internet purchase locations would be the easiest for him to use or places in Seattle area.
Thanks
Give Me has name and a mailing address and I'll send him a starter package of materials.
Given he is in Seattle, I would recommend Pacific Fly Fishers. Before I learned about Confluence, they were my go to shop. I know there are other good ones as well but I have not shopped there. Avid Angler seems to get a lot of good press. Otherwise, Scott at Confluence would take great care of him.
I buy most of my materials from Feather - Craft. You can order online at feather-craft.

Linda would like to sell her Norvise rotary fly tying vise and tools since she stopped tying many years back. I'm keeping mine! Let me know if your friend is interested in a very lightly used vise and we can figure something out.
Linda: If th young felllow does not want the Vise, I would be interedted in it. Let me know 350-647-8942
Will do. Will wait maybe another day to two, then will give u a call. Let u know either way. Good to hear it may find a new home.
Got side-tracked in this good weather then settled into garage projects once it started raining. So just getting back to this post. Anyway, I will pass along comments to him, Max Wolfram.
As for vise, probably best for Tom to enjoy it, as Max might be better to get a complete set of tools in a package set.
