    Bull Trout Attack

    in Fishing Reports

Mark McGinnis and I are in the middle of a four-day fishing trip to Missoula. Today we were out on the Blackfoot River with my guide son, David. While I'll prepare a full presentation of our trip for showing at an upcoming club meeting, we had an experience today that I HAVE to share. I had hooked a small (6" - 7") rainbow and was bringing it to the boat when, out of the depths came a bull trout with a rainbow lunch on its mind. Check out this video of what happened next.

I've hear stories of this happening, but I've never actually seen it. I've certainly never been directly involved. It was an awesome experience!

What an incredible experience! Thanks for sharing. Absolutely amazing. And to have McGinn narrating icing on the cake.
