I fished Ala Spit in the morning last Saturday (9/3), hoping to find a coho. No luck. I didn't see any action from three other fishers nearby either (two fly fishers; one gear fisher). I had a couple small pecks from something on my first couple casts, but nothing after that.

Paul Messner told me that fishing friends of his have been focusing on crab, so that suggests fishing is poor. Has anyone else heard reports?
