Hey Fellow Fish Chasers --- I am heading to Spakane for a few days and am looking for a way to spend a couple of days fishing within a couple hours of Spaokane. Any suggestions on small /medium lakes to plop my inflatable kayak in for some fish chasing ? Thanks .

Each spring (end April - early May) the club has an outing to North Twin Lake on the Colville Indian Reservation. Google Maps has it at 2.5 hours from Spokane. You might consider hitting it on your way over. I've not fished it this late in the year, but I'm guessing it's still good. The Rainbow Beach Resort is a nice place to launch (small fee). You can buy a tribal fishing license online.
thanks for the reply and good information --- I will report back to you and the forum.
You might try Buffalo Lake near Grand Coulee. You can buy a license for a day at the tribal center a few miles out of town. From there it's about 30 minutes to the lake. Nice fish.
Another option is Coffee Pot lake. I've not fished it, but the Dry Side Fishers had an outing there and I was told they did well.
A third option is Long Lake. It's a bit further West from Buffalo, but has cutthroat. We had fun there last year. It's a mountain lake and fish only run around 12-14 inches, but you should be alone and it's quite beautiful.
Sounds like some nice options --- I will see what I can do with time available .
Thanks , Ken
If you are in Spokane, I recommend fishing the Coeur d'Alene river!! It is hot now!!!
